Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Frosting is a chocolate recipe built around salted butter, powdered sugar and packed light or dark brown sugar. Plan on 12 Servings (Makes 4-5 cups) and about 10 minutes.
- Yield 12 Servings (Makes 4-5 cups)
- Ready in 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup salted butter (softened)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoons milk or cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 to 1 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a medium bowl with a handheld electric mixer or in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, whip together the butter, powdered sugar, brown sugar, flour, salt, milk or cream, and vanilla, until very light and fluffy, 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the chocolate chips. Refrigerate until ready to serve; take the frosting out of the refrigerator about an hour before using so it can soften up a bit.
Let the center settle before you cut it, or the slices will slump.
